Tarte Cosmetics Mini-Haul

My order from Tarte Cosmetics arrived today, (woo hoo)! I think the best part about ordering online, besides not having to leave the house, is the countdown ’til delivery day!

Heres the mini-haul in all it’s glory. Tarte had a promotion going on when I placed this order where if you spent $100, you would get $30 off your purchase (the equivalent to 30% off). I was able to get all of these products for roughly $70 + tax. Shipping was free. Watch Tarte’s website and sign up for e-mail alerts because they frequently have sales!

Tarte Guard Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 (for daily use)
As a nurse, I firmly believe in using and encouraging others to use daily SPF. Even if it isn’t summer or you aren’t planning to spend much time outside, the sun’s rays can still harm your skin if you have nothing protecting yourself. This product is perfect to use before putting on your makeup. Protect yourself from skin cancer and from premature skin aging related to sun exposure!

The Tartelette In Bloom eye shadow palette
This is a must-have for me as I am totally addicted to eye shadow palettes. I love the use of flower petals on the packaging to go with the “in bloom” theme. Beautiful.

Tartelette "In Bloom" eye shadow palette by Tarte. It has a combination of mattes and shimmers and smells like vanilla!

These shades are a great blend of every day neutrals for basic eye looks as well as smokey eye looks. Mostly matte shades with a few shimmers that I cannot wait to try out soon! Also, the palette smells like vanilla. I’m a big fan of scented products done right and this one is a hit for me. Very similar to the scent quality of the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palettes.

Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder.
Translucent powder is essential for setting foundation and concealer. It helps prevent creasing and helps to make your product look seamless. I’m looking forward to trying this product out and comparing it to Laura Mercier, Make Up Forever, and Morphe‘s versions of setting powder.

Lights Camera Lashes Lash Extending Fibers.
I’m terrible at applying false lashes and wanted to try a fiber alternative. This will be my first time using this product or any sort of eye lash fiber. I’m excited to see how this holds up over the course of the day. Updates to come on how it works out for me!

LipSurgence lip creme in Serene
I have been a fan of Tarte’s lip cremes for a while. They are formulated with Vitamin E,  shea butter, maracuja oil and jojoba seed. All natural and highly moisturizing. The pigmentation is mineral-based. The shade Serene is a peachy nude that I hope goes well with my complexion. I expect it to become a beloved daily favorite in my collection.

I will be posting updates and first impressions as I use the above products. Let me know if you have any questions or ideas!

Love,
Elizabeth
